Royal Olympics Week 5: Dynamic energy across Football, Basketball, Tug of War and Sack Race

Week 5 of the Royal Olympics at Royal School Phu Lam Campus featured four exciting team sports: Football, Basketball, Tug of War and Sack Race, showcasing strong sporting spirit, determination and teamwork.

Each match provided a dynamic platform for students to strengthen teamwork and demonstrate a strong spirit of fair play.

Technical skill and teamwork in Football and Basketball

From the very first moments, the playing fields came alive with skilful dribbling, dynamic movements and determined attempts to score. Throughout the matches, the teams demonstrated effective coordination and growing confidence in every pass and shot. 

Sharing his impressions during the girls’ football match, Mr Bui Van Hien, Physical Education Teacher at Royal School Phu Lam Campus, commented: “The competitive spirit displayed by our students at Royal Olympics 2025 has been truly impressive. They always give their best and show great teamwork and sportsmanship. I hope they continue to strive in both their studies and sporting activities, with determination to overcome every challenge ahead.”

In the Basketball event, the teams demonstrated sharp observation skills, flexible decision-making and highly effective teamwork. Beyond their determined performances, students encouraged one another throughout the matches, consistently displaying a strong sense of fair play and maintaining composure in every situation.

In the Tug of War and Sack Race events, cheers echoed across the campus, energising the competing teams. The strong coordination among team members and each student’s determination to succeed created many memorable moments throughout the events.
